The Rose & Gold Foundation is a 501(c)3 corporation that aims to expand the sport of fencing in the Columbus community through it’s very public exposure at the Arnold Fencing Classic, our work in inner city schools through After School All Stars, our work with the wheelchair bound and other special needs individuals.
Royal Arts, the public face of the Foundation was created by Julia Richey, a thirteen year member of the Russian National Team, physical trainer and physical therapy specialist, started the Academy in 2001 to share her love of the sport and her belief that fencing is a life changing sport.

What We Need
We are developing a wheelchair and other adaptive sports program in addition to our after school enrichment programs and other fencing programs. Our goal is to improve lives through fencing. We do that through programming and providing opportunity to those that either don’t have the resources to participate or were unaware it was available.
Our biggest event of the year is the Arnold Fencing Classic, which provides an opportunity to share our sport and spread the word to 180,000 spectators. The Arnold is a fencing tournament for ages 6 – 106, youth to veteran, and a part of the Arnold Sports Festival, the largest multi-sport festival in the world.
